POSCO Asia Fellowship 2016

POSCO Asia Fellowship Award Ceremony at Indus University

Indus University and POSCO TJ Park Foundation signed an agreement to foster promising young leaders in Asia to promote understanding of Korea and Asia. As a part of this agreement, POSCO TJ Park Foundation awarded POSCO Asia Fellowship of US $500.00 each annually to ten promising students of Indus University.   This fellowship is a positive leap towards a wide range of academic & other activities with the aim of strengthening ties between Asia and Korea.

This year Indus University recommended eligible candidates for scholarship based on the selection standards and procedures established by the varsity.  The Foundation then evaluated the list of students for final selection of POSCO Asia Fellowship 2016 held at university campus on 30th November’16.  The beneficiaries of this fellowship shall participate in events organized by POSCO TJ Park Foundation such as seminars/workshops in IU or across the state.

POSCO Asia Fellowship Award ceremony was graced by Mr. Kim, Dae Bum, the Managing Director of POSCO TJ Park Foundation accompanied by Mr. Yangsu Lim, General Manager; Mr. Abhinav Singh, HR-Admin Manager; Ms.Sujin Oh, the Coordinator; Ms.Clarissa Fernandez, Senior Executive from POSCO IAPC.

The President of Indus University Dr. Nagesh Bhandari welcomed the dignitaries from POSCO TJ Park Foundation followed by a brief summary of procedure and criteria by Dr. S. Tandon, Director IITE.  Ten eligible students received POSCO Asia Fellowship Award at the hands of Dr. Nagesh Bhandari and Mr. Kim, Dae Bum. Maj. Gen. Dr. S.S. Dasaka, Executive President IU congratulated students on this deserving feat and candidates reciprocated their gratitude through words of appreciation on their part.     This award is in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and dedication to knowledge of the students.  Such collaboration helps to nurture next generation talents through various scholarships, fellowships, grants and training.
