Celebration of Maha Karuna Day at Indus University

Karuna Day marks the celebration and promotion of reflection, contemplation, practice and propagation of karunā as propounded by Buddha. Every year on 7th January Karuna Day is observed as a testament to the self less dedication to serve humanity under the aegis of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Ladakh. This year Maha Karuna Day was celebrated at Indus University, with active participation from different quarters of India. The event saw deliberations and discussion on the key concepts of Buddhism and its relevance in modern society. Teachings from Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism were shared and deliberated upon. The invited chief guest at the event was Swami Madhav Prayadasji of Swaminarayan Gurukul accompanied by dignitaries Padma Shri Kalpana Sarojji, Chairperson, Kamani Tubes, Mumbai, Mr.Subachan Ram ji, Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai, Rajyogini BK. Dr.BinnySareen ji, Brahmakumaris, Shri Maulana Luqman Tarapuri, National President, Global Imam Council and Shahi Imam, Jama Masjid Anand, Gujarat, Ven. Bhadant Rahul Bodhi Mahathero from Mumbai. The event was hosted by Shri Sanghasena Mahathera, Founder President of MIMC, Leh (Ladakh) and it culminated with a colorful Ladakki cultural performance by MIMC students.
