Healthy Campus is an initiative of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for educational institutions in the state of Gujarat, to help the campus community live a healthy life for  their years spent there.  The initiative aims to be led by the students who will undertake various activities to promote healthy living on campus. The initiative has identified seven key areas, which include – Healthy living, Social consciousness, Stress management, Building self-esteem, Developing critical thinking, Developing soft skills and Living a drug-free life.  As a part of this initiative, a seminar was organized for all students and faculty members of Indus University on 28 March 2017 to highlight the existential threat that drugs pose to our society. Mr Hari Om Gandhi, Zonal Director, NCB addressed the gathering. The session was interactive, with students clarifying many myths about these topics and educating themselves with the experts’ views. This initiative will be taken forward by forming a Healthy Campus Committee, which will undertake to spread the message further.
