A Classical Folk Music Concert in association with SPIC MACAY at Indus University

Students of Indus University in collaboration with SPIC MACAY organized a concert by Rajasthani Manganiar(Classical folk music) Artist and their accompanists on 17^th July,2015 Friday at the University campus.

“Dharohar , founded by Shri Bhutte khan Manganiar, is a congregation of folk musicians and dancers from the Manganiar community who have strived to keep alive and propagate the folk tunes and beats of not just their community but that of Rajasthan, through performances across the country , besides workshops, training and teaching the art of making and playing the “Kamaicha”.

The characteristic blend of tradition and precision of artists at varied instruments transported the audience to a surreal plane. With a consecutive second SPIC MACAY event, Indus University has struck a right chord with the belief of inspiring the young minds to imbibe values embedded in our Indian heritage and in process enriching the quality of formal education.
